SACS CASI Accreditation

Renaissance Academy became a nationally accredited school less than two years after its establishment.  Most schools take more than a decade to earn such a distinction and schools that become accredited in less than five years are considered exceptional. Renaissance Academy obtained SACS Accreditation during its second year of operations. The unprecedentedly quick stamp of approval for Renaissance Academy from the nation’s largest and most respected accrediting agency is a testament to the quality of the academic programs, the professionalism of the staff and the performance of the student body.

In the AdvancEd report granting Renaissance Academy full accreditation, it was noted that:  “the school has emerged quickly and methodically as a leading academic center of the Muslim community.”  Renaissance Academy earned the distinction of being found “Highly Functional” – the highest SACS CASI school assessment level – in EVERY SINGLE AREA OF ASSESSMENT.

Commendations from the accreditation report:

  • All stakeholders (students, parents, community, teachers, administrator, and board) hold high expectations academically, socially, and emotionally; share respect and trust; and work together for the success of every student.
  • The board and the administration are highly visible, extremely interested, innovative, organized, and visionary.  The board members are generous in giving time and resources and are very accessible.
  • Students have a “voice”, and their opinions are valued.
  • Renaissance Academy fosters an inclusive, positive learning environment that engages stakeholders and maintains a relentless focus on school improvement.

AdvancED is the unified organization of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), and the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation (CITA).

AdvancED is dedicated to advancing excellence in education worldwide through accreditation, research, and professional services.

Texas Rising Star Accreditation

Al-Hamdulillah, representatives from Texas Rising Star evaluated Renaissance Academy’s Pre-School program and after a lengthy visit awarded Renaissance with the highest possible 4-Star Accreditation Ranking On top of the SACS/CASI AdvancEd Accreditation, which we have for the full school, Texas Rising Star provides a more focused accreditation status to preschool programs. We have been working with Texas Rising Star for the past year. Most preschool programs that go through Texas Rising Star earn a One or Two Star Accreditation after the first visit and then gradually work up to 4 Stars over a period of months or years as the school progressivelx demonssߗeting childcare8quality8standards significantly above tje State’s Minimum Standard requirements. Texas Rising Star looks at the school’s health and safety standards, group size, child/staff ratios, caregiver training and age-appropriate curricula and activities. It is a blessing and a testament to the quality of our program that we earned 4 Stars on the very first visit.
