Renaissance Academy Middle School student won 1st Place in the Molecular and Cellular Biology Division of the Exxon Mobile Texas Science and Engineering Fair held on April 3, 2011.

Senior (High School) Division

  • 2nd Place Computer Sciences
  • 5th Place in Plant Sciences

Cen-tex Regional History Fair

In the Central Texas History Fair held at LBJ Library on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, Renaissance Academy students won 8 Middle School Place Awards and 12 High School Place Awards as well as the History Fair’s only special award – Making Renaissance Academy “The Best Performing School at both the Middle and the High School level”

Renaissance Academy High School students earned:

  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in the Individual Exhibit category (2 students advancing to state)
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in the Group Exhibit category (4 students advancing to state)
  • 1st and 2nd Place in the Historical Paper category (2 students advancing to state)
  • 1st Place in the Group Performance category (5 students advancing to state)
  • 1st Place in the Individual Documentary category (advancing to state)
  • 2nd and 3rd Place in the Individual Website category (1 student advancing to state)

Renaissance Academy Middle School students earned:

Renaissance student also won The Locke, Lidell & Sapp LLP Legal History Award for best overall project dealing with an issue from legal history (this is the third year in a row, that a Renaissance Academy student has won this award, which is awarded from one of Austin’s prestigious law firms.)
